Skills for the new world of work

Training puzzle pieceA new world of work is emerging, as new rules for success and failure are written in all industries. The economic crisis of the past few years has been more than merely a financial downturn – it has served to accelerate many of the forces that were already changing the world of work. To be successful in the coming decade of turbulence and opportunity will require the involvement and commitment of everyone in your organisation.

For nearly ten years, the team at TomorrowToday has been tracking the trends shaping this new era. TomorrowTraining has now been launched in response to our clients’ request to help them identify and develop the skills necessary for success in the years ahead. TomorrowTraining delivers high impact training, the most relevant and engaging content delivered by world-class trainers who really understand the rapidly changing business world.

“TomorrowToday brought fresh thinking and energy to the engagement. We touch many thousands of clients with their service differentiator.”
Sharon Kersten: Managing Director, Old Mutual Retail Bank

Our Training Courses

Our standard courses are all designed as full day training sessions, best with a group of between 12 and 15 participants. We can do half day, two and three day courses, and can accommodate smaller and larger groups of people, too. Please do speak to our team about your requirements.

Our current training course menu consists of the following:

  • Generations @ Work – how to manage younger and older generations in the new world of work – click here to download a PDF brochure for this course (just 260Kb)

  • Managing Generation Y – a specific application of “Generations @ work”, focusing on getting the most out of the youngest generation of employees. This training course has content for about three days of training, and our team will work with you to identify the key areas of focus that are right for you.

  • Mind the customer service gap – taking your customer service beyond generational boundaries. How to use an understanding of different generations to improve customer service – click here to download a PDF brochure for this course (just 400Kb)

  • Mind the sales gap – how to sell in creative ways to all generations: from the young environmentally conscious, technology savvy ‘X’ and ‘Y’ generation – to the successful ‘boomer’, and the formal ‘silent’ generations

  • Beyond the Hype: Web 2.0 and you – how social media can be used to enhance and transform your organisation, from marketing and communication to team dynamics, leadership and learning

  • Executive Presentation Skills – our team of world class main platform presenters is available to work with your executives who need to deliver high impact, polished presentations. We can work through a standard training package, including video based analysis and feedback, or customise a course for your specific presentation needs

We will be launching new programmes regularly over the next few months. If you need something that is not on the list above, please contact us – it may be in the design room right now.

Our approach to training is not simply about developing new skills. Working with you we establish the WHY before progressing to the HOW. When your people understand WHY the world is changing, they take a very important first step towards knowing what is required of them and how they can respond to changes, threats and opportunities around them.

We ensure that our content and course structure is customised to your specific outcome requirements. Our training philosophy is to use humour, multimedia and interactive sessions to embed our content. We believe that training must be playful, powerful and practical if it is to have a lasting impact.

Our ongoing training services include podcasts, intranet drops, newsletters, blogs and reading lists. We also offer pre and post training assessment if required.

“Working with the TomorrowToday team is a refreshing experience. They are passionate about their subject and you feel that their main driver is to delight you. They make you think – and the fun was an added bonus. The team worked hard with us to design interactive workshops – adding value to our initial ideas, and delivering them with high energy and tailored content.”
Judy Ryder: Director of Business Change, Whitefriars Housing Association
